CWC Cartridge Showcase (Teresa Collins Baby Boutique)

Today my cartridge showcase is with one of my all time favorite cartridges, the Teresa Collins Imagine Baby Boutique cartridge.  I absolutely love anthing Teresa Collins and her cartridges are all my favorites!  I love this cartridge because it's so versatile.  You do not need to use it for baby projects, although it would work perfectly on those if you'd like.

My three projects that I made with this cartridge were for my daughter's birthday party back in July.
For the first project, I decided to make a banner, I love banners and I also love to hang them by our fireplace for my children's special day.  I like for them to have a little something extra around the house to celebrate their birthdays.  For this banner I took the scalloped image from the baby boutique cartridge, printed it out large without the crown(around 4"), then cut out the letters with the Storybook cartridge.  The little crowns were also cut out using Baby Boutique.

The second project was also made for the party, I made little cupcake toppers with the same scalloped circle and crown as the banner but in a much smaller size.  These were so easy to make!  I just filled the page on my Imagine, print and cut them, then used a glue dot to adhere them toothpicks and stuck them into the cupcakes.  Super easy and so cute to do!  The top one was an image I used from her invites, with a Barbie Image as that was the theme of the party.
This is the Barbie Image, the frame around Barbie and the crowns are from Baby Boutique

The third project from the party was these cute little wings with hearts I print and cut from the Baby Boutique cartridge to use for the treat bags.  Again, super easy!  I just print and cut, then stamped Thank you onto them, stapled them to the cute bags and was done.

Here's a photo of Teresa and I from a class I took that she did recently here.  She was so sweet and I was so honored to meet her!  She is just the best.  If you haven't had a chance to check out her products, you definetly should.  Her designs are classic yet very much fit with the current styles.
Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to stop by CWC to take part in the latest challenges.

CWC Melinda's Surprise Thank you Blog Hop!

Welcome to Cooking With Cricut’s very special SURPRISE “Thank You” Blog Hop. It's our 100th challenge and we are all so excited about it! The reason for the "surprise" is that we are also here to celebrate our own "Top Chef" Melinda Beltran! Melin started Cooking with Cricut to inspire others to use their Cricut cartridges in new and fun ways! She has also given scores of crafters a place on her Design Teams which quickly turned into a sisterhood of women, who care for each other; who encourage each other; who lift each other and their families up in prayer; and who have shared their hearts and their art through many outreach projects. I for one am very thankful to be on this team and look forward to continuing on through the year.
So this is our SURPRISE “Thank You” tribute to our beloved Melin! If you came from Melissa over at, Crafty Gator, then you’re in the right place! If you’ve joined us mid-hop and would like to start at the beginning, please head back to Cooking With Cricut  – you won’t want to miss any of these awesome cards!!
For my card today I decided to use the Cricut Imagine Audrey Cartridge to print out some cool Black and White paper and found some white and white with black polka dots out of my scraps.  The ribbon was paper pieced from the Stampin UP Blue Ribbon Stamp and the Thank you ticket was taken from the CTMH  Art Philosophy set.  I used Stampin UP Real Red for the background and the red ink.  I used a sketch from this weeks Mojo Monday to create my card.

Thanks so much for hopping with us. We hope you’ll join us and leave your own “thank you” in the comment section for Melin at CWC! Now it’s time to head on over to Jamie's blog at Scrappin 2 Baby Girls, the next stop on this party train!

CWC Taste of Summer Hop

Welcome to the CWC Taste of Summer Hop!  If you have arrived here from Court at Courts Craft Corner then you are in the right place. If you'd like to hop all the way through and want to start at the beginning, you can go back to Melin at Cooking with Cricut.
For this hop we were challenged with creating a project using some sort of food or drink that is a favorite of ours during the summer.  Well, when I think of this summer I think of all sorts of food but most of all I think of watermelon!  My kids have been obsessed with it since the summer began and I thought I'd make a layout with water melon being the theme.
For the background yellow page and the page with the clouds, flowers, and frames I used the Imagine Enjoy the Seasons cartridge.  I printed the blue part out twice so that I could pop up the flowers and the clouds. I love this layout included with the cartridge, It made it so easy for me! I then printed out the watermelon using the Cricut Designers Calendar cartridge and paper from Enjoy the Seasons.  The tile was used using different fonts I have loaded on my gypsy from Printing Press, Storybook, Gypsy font, and Sweethearts.
Here's where I popped out the cloud
I also popped up the flowers

You're next stop is the lovely and talented Candace over at Stampin Pearls

CWC Challenge #98 Back to School

HI everyone!  Well we are on vacation this week to the great state of Michigan (where I'm originally from) in the Upper Peninsula.  I'm from Southwest Michigan and I haven't been up here since I was 4.  I have been looking forward to this trip for forever.  We are with lots of family and having a blast!

Anyway, onto my project this week.  The challenge over at Cooking with Cricut is to create anything school related.  I usually create my August or my September calendar page school themed depending on when the kids go back.  This year St. Isidore starts Aug 22nd so the August page it is!  I am really looking forward to this school year and the kids are super excited!  My oldest will be in 1st grade and going all day and my youngest will be in 4 day preschool in the afternoon.  It is going to be so strange having them both gone in the afternoon but I know they will be learning so much!

Here is my project.  I used many, many cartridges for this one.  I first printed out some paper on my Imagine. I knew I absolutely wanted to use a lined paper of some sort to go with the school theme so I printed that out from the Imagine More Cards cartridge. I then printed out an ABC paper from Imagine Hopscotch and then some striped paper to make my banner. I used the Imagine Enjoy the Seasons for the apples, Mickey Font for the word "August", and Create a Critter for the cute little worm.

If you want to play along with us in this challenge, go to Cooking with Cricut and link up your project!  Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

CWC Challenge #98 I Feel the Love

I am so excited about this card I made today!  It's the first time pulling out my Cricut Rock Princess cartridge and I feel it's for a VERY worthy cause.  Today's Cooking with Cricut challenge is another "I feel the Love" challenge and we are sending cards to a very special girl, Olivia.  You can read all about her here.  You will be amazed at this little girl and I hope you will send her a card to show just how special she is!  I feel she is a "Rock Star!" :-)

This card was made using the Cricut Rock Princess cartridge and the Teresa Collins Imagine Baby Boutique (for the wings).  The background paper is all Erin Lee Creative "Cowgirl Up" with the rest being Stampin UP!  I also used the sketch from this weeks Mojo Monday contest.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to visit CWC to link up your card for a chance to win Top Chef!  Also, we'd love it if you linked up to Madison's blog as well and sent your card to her to deliver to our recipient, Olivia, aka "Rock Star".

Crazy Summer, I'm a WINNER, and Project Life

Hi all!  It has been one fun, crazy summer!  My kids and I have been having a blast going to the pool, camping, and spending time with my Mom at the lake.  Needless to say, I haven't been in my craft room much lately but thankfully, I was able to get in there on Sunday and Monday and create a card for a blog post tomorrow for Cooking with Cricut.  I am hoping to be up here more this week before we leave (again) for another week vacation.  Yay summer!
Also, I wanted to let you know that my blog posting using the DCWV sketch was actually picked to be on their blog showcasing all the winners from July!  Here is the link.  I was sooo excited to see my page on there and I actually won the challenge too!  I received my package in the mail yesterday from Erin at DCWV, 3 brand new stacks!  woohoo! So exciting.
My new stacks:-)
This was the page I submitted:

I also got this in the mail yesterday. (photo from Instagram)

If you have been following Becky Higgins or Project Life, you know these have been on back order and out of stock for months!  I was so happy they were available that I snatched up two:-).  Now I really need to get moving on Project life.  I am a few months behind with summer.  The good news is that with this easy system, it won't take long for me to catch up.
Okay, now back to my lazy, but crazy, summer life!  I have another post tomorrow so be sure to check back in.
