Winter and Snow Blog Hop

Happy Saturday everyone and welcome to the Winter and Snow Blog Hop!

Hopefully you have just arrived here from Erica at Erica's Craft Room. She is the first stop on this amazing hop so if you haven't gone to her blog yet, you'll want to check out the awesome project she made!
Our theme for this hop was, Winter and Snow!  Well we are in the thick of winter here (finally) in Illinois as we just about 6 inches of snow the other day after coming off 50 degree temps earlier in the week.  My kids were soooo excited and they are super excited to go make a snowman with Daddy today!  Anyway the project I am using is a page I made about my son going in the snow last year.  He was just under 2 in these pics.  As soon as he got outside last year he just had to taste all that fun white stuff! I couldn't resist snapping some pics.

I wanted to make this layout super simple so that I could really highlight these cute pics of him eating the snow.  I used the Cricut cartridge Joy of the Seasons for the snowflakes (large ones were cut at 2" and smaller ones were cut at 1") which is always my go to cart for snowflakes and I'm pretty sure that is Lyrical Letters for the title.  I inked around the edges of the larger snowflakes with Stampin UP Bashful Blue to give them some dimension and added some buttons. On the little ones I added a drop of Viva Pearl to the center.  The paper is Stampin UP!  Not Quite Navy and Whisper White.

January 2012 (what?) Calendar Page

Hi all, Is it seriously January 2012?  I CANNOT believe it!  We had a great Christmas holiday with friends and family, now it's time for me to start living my New Years Resolutions!  Craft more, eat less, and enjoy the time with family!  Okay now onto that first resolution of crafting more.  I think I have become Teresa Collins obsessed!  Ever since I got her Baby Boutique cartridge for my Imagine I cannot stop playing with it.  I just love her style, especially the black and white together with pops of color thrown in.

Here is my Calendar Page for January.  I used the Baby Boutique calendar printout for the base, then I printed a whole sheet of the background paper from a pattern on the cartridge.  I printed out the header from Baby Boutique as well (removing the blessings title) and then used the Designer's Calendar cartridge for the word January which I printed in black.  I then punched out some snowflakes strung it with some silver string and added some silver dots with my pearl pen.
