Happy first day of Spring! I can sure tell spring is coming! It's raining like cats and dogs over here. I was able to get some crafting done today and last night I worked on a page based on this weeks sketch challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges. I recently got a bunch of photos printed from this year but I had some left on my desk that were just screaming to get put in a layout from a few years ago. I love this layout because I was able to put three photos on it. This was such a fun day visiting a cider mill by my sister-in-laws home with my husband's 101 yr old Grandmother. It was one of the last times we got to take her out. She is 103 now and still going strong but she doesn't like to leave the home she is in too often now. I also love the layout because of the bright colors along with the orange for fall.

I love my twine!! I also inked up the edges of my journaling box in the pumpkin color as I didn't like how white it was:-)

I colored in my pumpkins with an orange pencil and took my Stampin UP! blender pen to fill it in.

Abby's First Blogoversary Blog Hop

Hi all! I hope you are enjoying yourself on this hop! I know we have some VERY talented ladies participating and I can't wait to see all the fun projects. If you have been following Abby for a while you know that she creates the cutest stuff! She is, of course, a scrapbooking girl so I thought I would create a scrapbook page in honor that. I used some of her favorite things for this page. First off, the page is based on a sketch from pagemaps. I love page maps and my friend Nancy got me the page maps book for my birthday last year to give me lots of inspiration in my scrapbooking! I highly suggest them. Next, I used more of Abby's favorite things, my cricut to cut the title, some bling in the form of buttons and brads, and lastly a Market Street Stamp simply stitched border to do the square for the middle of my page. I absolutely love how this came out, although I think this may be the last time I do an accordian flower. I just was not having luck making that thing stick to the page no matter how much glue I used. It finally did and hopefully it stays now!
Here is my project, I also used one of my favorite things, Stampin UP! paper and stamps. I love these colors and as soon as I put them all together, I knew I had to create a page with them. Luckily I had this cute photo of my kids from a recent photo shoot my girlfiend, Linnea over Images to Adore did. She is so talented and I loved all the photos she took of us.

New Design Team

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day today! I have been busy making my son's invitations for his 2nd birthday party and really haven't done much else the last week. I hope to get them posted soon! Anyway, it's (finally) warm here! We are around 60 today and should be closer to 70 tomorrow!! We'll be back down in the 40s by the weekend so we are soaking up the sun today. I just wanted to make an announcement. I have been lucky enough to be selected as a member for a new design team for Stampin Daisies. She is coming out with a new stamp line and I will be helping her showcase that line! I am very excited for this opportunity and looking forward to showing off these VERY cute stamps!

Sketch 243 - The Best of Fall

Well, since my new photos that I printed haven't come yet I decided to do some more fall photos for the sketch challenge at Scrapbook Challenges. I adored this sketch for the two page layout as it let me fit so many photos! It's always a challenge to make one event on a two page layout because I tend to take a lot of photos. This one was perfect for me! I really loved the paper I found in my stash with the pumpkins and this other scripted paper I thought brought another dimension to the pages. I have been using a lot of buttons lately in my projects and these corduroy buttons from Stampin UP! went so well in the pages too. I cut the title using Make the Cut and added the box and inked brown around the edges along with adding ribbon in the corner as the colors I chose didn't show up too well against the paper. Hope you like it!!

Lil Pumpkin layout

Happy Thursday everyone! I have been doing some scrapbooking this week and thought I would share this layout from some photos I had of a time we went to the pumpkin farm a few years ago. I couldn't get a really good photo of it so I apologize for how dark it is. I took the sketch from Page Maps and I really like how it came out. Lately I have been scrapbooking old photos and doing current ones digitally, I think I am going to change it up and start scrapbooking my new ones so I can be up with the seasons:-).
