CWC Challenge #107, I Feel the Love Project

Today's post is a card I made for the latest I Feel the Love Project over at Madison's blog, Funky Cards. For October, she will be collecting Thanksgiving cards to send to the elderly men and women who reside at the Surrey Place Care Center in Florida.  You can read more about the project and how you can help out by making a card, here.

Here is my card, I used my Imagine and the Enjoy the Seasons cartridge.  This is my go-to cartridge lately.  It has so many great images on it!  I also used The Spring Chic cartridge for the orange chevron paper.  This card was created using the latest Mojo Monday sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today!!  I hope you are able to participate in this challenge this week, you can link up your card here at the Cooking with Cricut blog.

Cooking With Cricut, Challenge #105 Apples or Honey

Hi everyone! I am very excited for this challenge!  I can't wait for you to see what the design team has "cooked" up with their apples and honey over at CWC:-).  For my project today I had a little help from my kids. I knew I wanted to make a sign for them for the first day school back in August and thought they might like to help with that so I picked up this plain wooden board from Hobby Lobby along with some chalkboard paint so that we can use it over and over.  My daughter was all about it!  She loves to paint and loves helping.

Here is the finished product.
I love how it came out.  I added the apple from the Imagine Enjoy the Seasons cartridge.  Apples to me always symbolize school and I thought it would be the perfect addition to this sign.
Here is my daughter painting the sign.  I love how she sticks her tongue out when she is really concentrating!
Here is my daughter on the first day of school.  She was so proud of the sign!
Here is my son.  I was just happy he posed for pictures!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to submit your entries for this fun challenge over at Cooking with Cricut.

Cooking with Cricut, I Feel the Love Project

It's time for another I Feel the Love Project with Cooking with Cricut.   For this months challenge, Madison has tasked us with making cards for a wonderful organization called Casa Pacifica.  You can read more about the challenge and the organization at Madison's blog.  We are making cards for all the kids for their annual Halloween party.  The task is to make something fun, but not scary.  Whenever I think of Halloween, I mostly think of crisp, fall days and pumpkins!  Fall is my favorite season, hands down.  Living here in the midwest all my life, it is truly a joy to watch fall come and the beautiful colors all around.
So here is my card for the challenge.  I used the Imagine Enjoy the Seasons cartridge for the leaves and the pumpkin.  The swirl is from a die I have and all the paper is DCWV Halloween and Fall stack.  The Happy Halloween stamp is from Stampin UP, Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I also used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch to create this card.  Madison has a goal of creating 70 cards and she already has a bunch linked on her website.  I made two of these cards to send, hopefully you will join us and send some as well!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to hop over to the Cooking with Cricut blog to enter in your card.

CWC Taste of Summer Hop

Welcome to the CWC Taste of Summer Hop!  If you have arrived here from Court at Courts Craft Corner then you are in the right place. If you'd like to hop all the way through and want to start at the beginning, you can go back to Melin at Cooking with Cricut.
For this hop we were challenged with creating a project using some sort of food or drink that is a favorite of ours during the summer.  Well, when I think of this summer I think of all sorts of food but most of all I think of watermelon!  My kids have been obsessed with it since the summer began and I thought I'd make a layout with water melon being the theme.
For the background yellow page and the page with the clouds, flowers, and frames I used the Imagine Enjoy the Seasons cartridge.  I printed the blue part out twice so that I could pop up the flowers and the clouds. I love this layout included with the cartridge, It made it so easy for me! I then printed out the watermelon using the Cricut Designers Calendar cartridge and paper from Enjoy the Seasons.  The tile was used using different fonts I have loaded on my gypsy from Printing Press, Storybook, Gypsy font, and Sweethearts.
Here's where I popped out the cloud
I also popped up the flowers

You're next stop is the lovely and talented Candace over at Stampin Pearls

CWC Challenge #98 Back to School

HI everyone!  Well we are on vacation this week to the great state of Michigan (where I'm originally from) in the Upper Peninsula.  I'm from Southwest Michigan and I haven't been up here since I was 4.  I have been looking forward to this trip for forever.  We are with lots of family and having a blast!

Anyway, onto my project this week.  The challenge over at Cooking with Cricut is to create anything school related.  I usually create my August or my September calendar page school themed depending on when the kids go back.  This year St. Isidore starts Aug 22nd so the August page it is!  I am really looking forward to this school year and the kids are super excited!  My oldest will be in 1st grade and going all day and my youngest will be in 4 day preschool in the afternoon.  It is going to be so strange having them both gone in the afternoon but I know they will be learning so much!

Here is my project.  I used many, many cartridges for this one.  I first printed out some paper on my Imagine. I knew I absolutely wanted to use a lined paper of some sort to go with the school theme so I printed that out from the Imagine More Cards cartridge. I then printed out an ABC paper from Imagine Hopscotch and then some striped paper to make my banner. I used the Imagine Enjoy the Seasons for the apples, Mickey Font for the word "August", and Create a Critter for the cute little worm.

If you want to play along with us in this challenge, go to Cooking with Cricut and link up your project!  Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

June Calendar Page

Here is my calendar page for June. For this month I really wanted to incorporate a slide into the page as it seemed like my kids have already been doing a lot of swimming this summer!  I used my Imagine art cartridges for most of this.  The sun and slide came from Enjoy the Seasons and the calendar is from Baby Boutique.  The paper is all DCWV, it was an Ultimate stack I got a while ago and the background paper is Creative Memories Sea Glass.  I cut the banners out by hand and the title was done with the CTMH Typewriter Keys stamp set which is my favorite set for titles right now!
Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Crafting!

Clean and Simple Challenge Guest Designer

Happy Sunday all and welcome to my guest designer post for Ashley's blog over at the Glamorous Side of Scrapping.  Ashley runs a Clean and Simple Sunday challenge over at her blog and this weeks challenge is embossing.  I needed a card for my good friend who has just let us know they are expecting their 3rd child this summer!  We are so excited for them!! They have two gorgeous girls and we can't wait to meet this latest addition to their family.
I made this card with my Imagine.  I wanted to use the cloud paper on the Best Friends cartridge for a while along with these cute balloons. I thought it would be a fun congratulations card!

Supplies Used:
Die Cuts: Cricut Imagine Best Friends cartridge for the balloons and the cloud paper image.  Enjoy the Seasons cartridge for the banner.  The banner is stamped with a Taylored Expressions stamp from the Pennant Parade set.
The white cut is a pre-set image on the Imagine and it's embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder using my Sizzix Big Shot
The craft background paper is from Stampin UP!
