Fabric Portfolio and Cards

Normally I don't blog about things I have done where I got the ideas or designs from someone else as I usually like to keep everything on here fresh and my own design. I know, I know, alot of what we do usually is a mix of a bunch of different things we have seen over time but I like to think that "most" of what I put together is my own creativity. Anyway, I just have to share this project as I am so over the moon, thrilled with it. This is a card portfolio made out of the fabric sold by Stampin UP! in their latest mini catalog. The original design came from Shelli, the owner of Stampin UP! and some of this is also from my upline, Glenda Travelstead. I did take some liberties with the cards and used different stamps if I didn't have the specific ones called for in the instructions so it's a little bit of my own take on it as well. I made three of these to give away as Christmas gifts and I LOVE them!!

This really took me out of my comfort zone as I had to sew (yikes) I can count on my hand the number of times I have sewn so this was a whole new learning experience! (of course now I want a sewing machine:-)) It was a lot of fun and I really hope the special people I give them to like it! Message me if you want directions on how to make this or would like to order any of the product.
